SpongeCol® - Not just a sponge.

SpongeCol® contains unique columnar porous network which permits cells and nutrients to flow completely through the interpenetrating pores and provides an increased surface area for cell attachment, growth and migration.


SpongeCol® has been used for a variety of studies and applications, including:


-Skin and cartilage models


-Controlled drug or cell release


-In-vitro tumor models


Cells can be added directly to the sponge, or mixed with a collagen solution and then added to the sponge. The cells will be fully encapsulated within the sponge. SpongeCol® is lightly crosslinked to give durability and strength to your tissue engineering applications.
